T's & C's
  • The competition is open to children under the age of 18 years.
  • All entries must be completed by the child participating in the competition. Hand-drawn artwork only will be accepted.
  • AI-generated, digitally created, traced, copied or commercially produced artwork will not be accepted. Entries must be the participant's own original work.
  • Entry forms may be collected from the Kids Play Area at Secunda Mall from 30 September to 4 October 2026.
  • Completed entries must be submitted in the designated competition box at Secunda Mall by the closing date communicated by the mall.
  • Only one entry per child will be accepted.
  • Entries must be completed on the official competition entry form. Entries submitted on other paper or in another format may be disqualified.
  • The artwork must be appropriate for children and suitable for public display. Secunda Mall reserves the right to reject any entry that is deemed offensive, inappropriate or unsuitable.
  • All entries must be the participant's original work and must not infringe on any third-party copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.
  • A parent or legal guardian must provide the required consent for participants under the age of 18.
  • Prize: One winner will receive a R15,000 prize, and the winner's school will receive a R15,000 prize.
  • The school prize will be awarded to the school attended by the winning participant, subject to verification.
  • Winners will be selected by a judging panel appointed by Secunda Mall. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
  • Entries will be judged based on factors including creativity, originality, interpretation of the theme "Our Tribe. Our Vibe." and overall presentation.
  • The prize is not transferable, exchangeable for cash, or refundable.
  • Secunda Mall reserves the right to verify the identity, age and school details of the winner before awarding the prize.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable period, fails to provide the required information or is found to have breached these Terms & Conditions, Secunda Mall reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  • By entering the competition, participants and their parents/legal guardians agree that Secunda Mall may use the winning artwork, winner's name, photograph and/or photograph of the prize-giving ceremony for marketing, publicity and social media purposes, subject to the required parental/guardian consent.
  • By entering, the participant and their parent/legal guardian confirm that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
  • Employees of Secunda Mall, its managing agent, participating suppliers, agencies and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
  • Secunda Mall reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition should circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.
  • Secunda Mall reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions or where fraudulent, dishonest or misleading information has been provided.
  • No AI submissions: Any artwork found to have been generated or materially created using artificial intelligence (AI) will be disqualified. Participants may be required to confirm that their artwork was created entirely by hand.
  • By participating in the competition, entrants and their parents/legal guardians agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
